Design By: Graphic Design Edition is a new event for anyone building — and sustaining — a creative career in design.
Presented by the Design Museum of Chicago Auxiliary Board, this first installment of the Design By series brings together graphic designers at different stages in their careers for a candid, cross-generational conversation. We’ll explore how designers grow, adapt, and create work that lasts — beyond the brief and outside the algorithm.
Following the panel, attendees will break into groups for a collaborative workshop where you’ll design a custom typeface inspired by a panelist’s creative ethos. All materials will be provided — just bring your curiosity and creative energy.
Whether you're just starting out or deep in your design journey, this event is an invitation to connect, reflect, and sketch out what a sustainable design practice means to you.
Featured Panelists:
• Aaliyah Joseph — Art Director, Ogilvy
• Cristobal Mora — Designer at BarkleyOKRP; Founder of Bueno Days and KUIBO
• Third designer to be announced
