Selected works from DAAPworks 2026 travel to the Design Museum of Chicago for a special exhibition featuring outstanding capstone projects from across the college. The exhibition will introduce new audiences to the ideas, research and creative work developed by graduating DAAP students.

Each year, DAAPworks transforms the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning into a living exhibition, where studios, hallways and galleries become a large-scale showcase of graduating student work. As the college’s signature annual exhibition, DAAPworks brings together projects from across disciplines in a celebration of creativity, innovation and impact.

This summer, DAAPworks is expanding beyond campus.

The exhibition is designed, developed, fabricated and installed by a team of DAAP faculty members: John Dixon and Muhammad Rahman from the School of Design, and Martina Palocci and Alessandro Farina from the School of Architecture and Interior Design.

One of the exhibition’s defining features is its commitment to showcasing the breadth of student work across the college. Alongside physical prototypes and selected capstone projects, the exhibition will feature large-scale vinyl wall installations highlighting work from graduating students across DAAP. This approach allows visitors to experience a broader story about the creativity, innovation and impact of the college while encompassing multiple programs and disciplines.

The exhibition represents a first-of-its-kind opportunity for DAAPworks to be presented in a major design museum, extending the reach of student work to designers, employers, alumni, prospective students and members of the public in one of the nation’s leading design cities.

DAAPworks Chicago will be on display at the Design Museum of Chicago from July 16 through Sept. 13, 2026.
