Chicago Public Schools represent an integral part of the fabric and foundation of this city. School communities are as unique as each distinct Chicago neighborhood, with their own rich history, cultural diversity, vibrant energy, and deep commitment to learning.
Artists in Public Schools is a non-profit organization, founded in 2017 with the mission of celebrating the communities and essential narratives central to Chicago Public Schools through artist residencies. These partnerships support artists with paid opportunities to sustain their creative practice while inviting students into hands-on artistic exploration that builds confidence, creativity, and self-expression.
This exhibition highlights a selection of artworks from the 2025-2026 school year, reflecting the artistic experimentation, profound connection, and collective imagination that emerges when artists and schools come together.
Closing Reception: Thursday, May 28th from 5:30 – 7:30pm
